In Diamonds, Ferzan Özpetek brings together a large female ensemble around a Roman costume workshop for film, run in the 1970s by sisters Alberta and Gabriella. Through fabrics, craftsmanship and intertwined lives, the film celebrates the often unseen work behind the cinematic image. Dalia Colli’s makeup supports the period setting and the choral nature of the story, giving each face a distinct but measured identity while maintaining visual coherence across a cast filled with different personalities.
