Set in the early 1960s and loosely inspired by the Casati Stampa case, Andrea De Sica’s Gli occhi degli altri explores the relationship between Marquis Lelio and Elena, suspended between passion, voyeurism and power. Within this elegant and increasingly disturbing world, Dalia Colli also worked on the prosthetic effects, supporting the story’s most physical and dramatic moments. The makeup becomes part of the film’s tension, turning the body into the place where desire, obsession and violence leave their visible mark.
