In Reality, Matteo Garrone follows Luciano, a Neapolitan fishmonger whose desire to appear on a television show gradually turns into an obsession. Dalia Colli’s makeup supports the film’s everyday realism and follows the widening distance between Luciano’s concrete world and the reality he imagines. The apparently simple character work creates a universe filled with strong, recognisable faces. For her makeup on the film, Dalia Colli won the 2013 David di Donatello for Best Makeup.
