Three Incestuous Sisters

Directed by Alice Rohrwacher and inspired by Audrey Niffenegger’s illustrated tale, Three Incestuous Sisters follows three sisters bound by a powerful relationship and by a love that disrupts their fragile balance. Filmed partly on the island of Stromboli, the story brings together landscape, desire and a fairy-tale sensibility. Dalia Colli’s work in the makeup department supports this suspended atmosphere, creating authentic faces that belong naturally to Rohrwacher’s poetic world and to the elemental beauty of the setting.
