IMDb
In Bread and Burlesque, the comedy directed by Manuela Tempesta, a small town in Puglia struggling after the closure of its local factory is transformed by the arrival of a burlesque troupe. As Key Makeup Artist, Dalia Colli shaped the contrast between the residents’ everyday lives and the performers’ stage identities. The makeup supports the protagonists’ transformation and becomes part of the film’s tone, as comedy, performance and the desire for a new beginning gradually change the face of the community.
