Set in Trapani in 1976, the miniseries Maltese – Il romanzo del commissario follows Dario Maltese as he investigates a friend’s murder and uncovers a network linking the Mafia, politics and finance. As Makeup Department Head and Makeup Designer, Dalia Colli contributed to the period reconstruction and the characterisation of a large cast. The makeup maintains continuity across the episodes and supports the series’ restrained tone, revealing faces shaped by the climate, tension and weight of difficult choices.
